New Israeli study says the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine is 85% effective at reducing the risk of getting Covid-19. Should we modify our vaccine program? Give everyone the first dose before we give out a second dose? Would Biden be bold enough to get behind this?

The difficulty is that many people will not take the vaccine. (See the previous post regarding medical personnel in the E.U. ) The vaccine is not a magic elixir, it is not any different that the flu vaccine. Perhaps you want everyone vaccinated so that the government will rescind the draconian orders as to masks, social distancing, etc. Fat chance.
Go to Florida to see, as they say, how the other half lives.
My nephew in Florida is still getting over Covid. He caught it work along with several other people and then was told he had to come back to work well or not. That’s the kind of bs that keeps this going. He had a difficult time finding that job so he went back to work masked up as much as he could.
DELAYING 2nd dose....1st highly effective. They are STILL experimenting with the vaccines, MORE
evidence that human guinea pigs are being utilized (populace WILLINGLY lining up for UNKNOWN factors)
WSJ had an OP-ED today from a John Hopkins person. He thinks there is a good chance we will reach herd immunity by April. We are seeing infection totals and deaths declining. India is also showing low rates of infection. The theory there is that India had been infected with a milder strain of Corona years ago and that acted like a vaccine for the majority of the population. I am betting that also happened in South Korea and Taiwan. They both had very low infection rates.

The Pfizer vaccine no longer needs to be stored at super low temperatures so that should make transit and storage easier, plus less wastage of vaccines.
