Hello Everyone!

We are very excited to announce that we've created a new website system that we believe will better serve you and the community with new features and capabilities! We will be doing the switch today around 10am so plan on the forums being down for a while we get that done. Our apologies for the inconvenience this causes.

Hey Everyone!

Sorry for the delay today, we were adding more content and cleaning things up.

We're ready to do the switch which means we will be turning the forums off and you won't be able to post any longer. After this happens, we'll migrate the latest backup and users and get it back up as quickly as possible.

Most important: you must go to the new website: www.myMountainTown.com !

All of your usernames, passwords, forums, etc will be the same; what's different is that everyone will have their very own Profile Page on which to upload photos, write blogs, make connections with friends, start or join groups (like Facebook or LinkedIn) and much, much more! We'll work on tutorials the rest of the weekend, but for now explore and have fun!

No, we certainly are still a part of Communities Bound. We changed the name because it seems more intuitive that people searching for information about our area would search for mountain towns first - and this is evidenced by the key search words that bring people to the Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce as well. The goal with this upgrade was to make it easier for people to find information they want. Forums are inherently messy so we're re-organizing things into pages instead. That's why every member now has their own Personal Profile Page (kind of like on Facebook), and every business and nonprofit in the corridor will eventually have a listing or their own Business Page. On those pages, you can enter your real name if you wish or not, enter your real name and have it shown publicly or not, upload photos, write a blog, make connections with friends, join or start Groups (either private or public, like LinkedIn or again Facebook), and much, much more! We've rolled the best of Facebook, LinkedIn, and a Wordpress blog all into one site to make it easier for everyone to find what they need, or share what they want!
