Yeah, I know this is opening a can of worms but I thought it was important.

Now I am hoping this will not turn into a republicans are all racist thread because that is not what I inteneded but I do think this is some interesting history.

If you disagree bring it... but with some facts maybe???

I am a conservative with a few conservative friends that send me that crap and I am apalled every single time. There are so many reasons to dislike Obama without getting stupid!! And before you bring up the politically correct argument I am not PC , this is not about that.

"Lots of people compared George W. Bush to a monkey," they'll say. "What's the difference?"

The difference is simple: Whites weren't enslaved and murdered for centuries under the false premise that they were subhuman apes; blacks were. That seems like a fair argument against your stupid email forward.

Well, I actually disagree on that one part of this. I don't think Bush should have been depicted that way either and that is a double standard. I think that dehumanizing anyone will have that effect. And that is why I don't like the objectifying of women.

Concerning the subject of this thread, if you wear tinted glasses, then everything that you see will be shaded to your preconceived notion. Racists see racism everywhere and in everything. That is their problem not everyone else's.

Yeah, it's the blacks fault that they see racism. They really have no reason for it... It makes blacks racists.

The KKK isn't racist. It's the people who call it racist that are the real racists.

Idiot.

Are you black? You are seeing racism.

Concerning the black portion of our population, I do believe that the black community is keeping the racism subject alive because of entitlements and self identity. They should redirect their energies and start participating in society and reap some benefits of our economy and culture.

The way I see it is... Bush it was used to make him look stupid and the only conclusion you can come up with to use it for obama is a racial thing. It really is used two different ways. Why even do it? It makes no sense. There many other things to use. He makes that easy for us.

At least one editorial cartoonist depicted "W" as a monkey.

So once again it is only ok to ridicule Christians & white males?

We can't use it to make Obama look stupid?

Consider: the eye of the beholder. Racists see racism. (The inkblot test)
