To me, it should be very clear - Zimmerman claims that Martin was on top of him when he shot him. Forensics should be able to prove/disprove this straight away. Of course, if Martin was on top of him, who is to say that Martin was not exercising HIS right to stand his ground, after having someone stalking him with a gun? It is all a mess and this law needs to be shot down (pun intended)

Ignoring the suggestions of a dispatcher is not an illegal action, also the assumption that he was "hunting" another person is simply that, an assumption. There is a huge difference between tracking and hunting, who is to say he wasn't simply keeping an eye on someone he thought was suspcious?

I agree with you entirely on this point. I'm not afraid of guns, but people are crazy, some people are outright dangerous. Some are racist, some make rash decisions, some shoot seemingly innocent people on the back lawn of their apartment complex.

All that said, though, it's a lot of conjecture. I'm not saying that this was not a cold-blooded murder driven by hate and racism, but I'm saying we have very few ways to prove that it was. This is a huge uphill battle for the prosecution.
