The investigation was kicked off by several members of Trump’s campaign team and cabinet having inappropriate contact with individuals from foreign governments, laundering money, committing perjury, knowingly passing along information that our enemies hacked into our national security to steal, and various other charges, and 4 of them were charged, tried, and found guilty by a jury of their peers. Mueller’s investigation, which was not based on Steele’s report, was a narrow scope looking at that charge of collusion and he was not able to absolve the president of guilt. As he also stated, it was not within his purview to recommend impeachment, that was on Congress. The impeachment hearings that were held was handled badly by the Dems narrowing the focus too much, and the Republicans in the Senate are too entrenched in party politics (or blackmailed/corrupt/compromised) to do the right thing, aside from Mitt Romney.
I absolutely still agree that the investigation needed to occur, and I don’t believe it will be resolved until decades later because our system is broken that it will protect a POTUS who commits crimes while in office and once he’s voted out, Dems won’t want to change precedent and go after him federally. Donald J Trump is, in all likelihood, a criminal guilty of money laundering for the mob and cheating on his taxes, and unless the state of NY continues their ongoing investigation into him and Trump Org, I doubt he’ll ever be held accountable.
The Russians, Chinese, and Iranians are still interfering in our politics, as concluded by more than one bipartisan Congressional report and all 17 of our national security/law enforcement agencies and they’re doing it to destabilize us and make us weaker. Trump is a pawn in that scheme, a willing participant because he cares only about himself and making money, but by no means any brain behind the operation.

"Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents tasked by fired former Director James Comey to take down Donald Trump during and after the 2016 election were so concerned about the agency’s potentially illegal behavior that they purchased liability insurance to protect themselves less than two weeks before Trump was inaugurated president, previously hidden FBI text messages show. The explosive new communications and internal FBI notes were disclosed in federal court filings today from Sidney Powell, the attorney who heads Michael Flynn’s legal defense team.
“[W]e all went and purchased professional liability insurance,” one agent texted on Jan. 10, 2017, the same day CNN leaked details that then-President-elect Trump had been briefed by Comey about the bogus Christopher Steele dossier. That briefing of Trump was used as a pretext to legitimize the debunked dossier, which was funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign and compiled by a foreign intelligence officer who was working for a sanctioned Russian oligarch."

Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) asked the House to consider a resolution calling on Vice President Pence to enact the 25th Amendment and remove President Trump from office. Representative Alex Mooney (R-WV) objected, blocking the request. The resignation of House Sergeant at Arms, Paul Irving, was also accepted. Timothy Blodgett was sworn in as the new Sergeant at Arms.

The capital demonstrations I think are more of a big banner saying that 75 million people voted for President Trump, don't forget that.
I do wonder if ANTIFA is planning counterdemonstrations. This could get very messy.

It is not a benign banner but an insurrection. Banners don’t kill police, try to crush police or engage in hand-to-hand combat. But you and I agree that if the left decides to mobilize this could get very messy. Let’s hope that both have the sense to stand down. Otherwise.....
