I thought about this for a day before I answered. I would like to say that JMC's answer would be the way I would react, but I doubt if that's true. I think there would be a period of shock for me in which I would act like an ass and then a slow acceptance.
The concept of "homo-phobia" is quite a jingoism. But it has no truth. Men are not afraid of homosexuals but are repulsed by them.
Women "sing" as they speak, whereas men speak in monotone. To hear the sing-song cadence of feminine speech from the mouth of a man is surrealistic, and offers much the same response as a coyote who suddently realizes that he has been duped by the mechanical game call of the hunter.
Feminine mannerisms adopted by a male are not attractive to men, but are sickening/repulsive. Swishing, swaying, the whole nine yards, does not scare men but repulses them. Fear is not the associated reaction.
Homosexual fellows cannot love homosexual men. The total need of the homosexual fellow is the attentions of a manly man. Their needs are forever unrequited. They are eternally frustrated.

This Fund is nothing more than a recruitment drive for the brains, heart, sexual organs of young children. The Gay Lesbian Fund puts most of its money into sponsoring children programs around the state.

There sure are many children's program....and I noticed they have started marketing (I mean sponsoring) in the latino community. Wow, they found a whole new recruitment class.
