And I, for one, am glad that they are there if the need exists to resort to them to once again drive the tyranny of central government control out of this nation. It is our ultimate recourse to preserve our liberties. One can easily see the progression of tyranny through the lens of human history in every era and in every form of government. From the fall of the ancient republics through the dynasties of despots and monarchs, the story has always been the same. Eventually the government becomes a tyrant that must be removed lest all the people become slaves to it. In this nation we have thus far managed to avoid that fate, but by no means is such avoidance in the future assured. Our "2nd Amendment Remedies" are our last, and quite frankly weakest, defense against following the same course as every other nation throughout the history of civilization has followed. Given the current state of technology as it relates to warfare, what we have in our hands today in this nation is for all intents and purposes bows and arrows against the lightning. That, however, should not deter us from reminding our government from time to time that the "Spirit of '76" is still alive and well in the present time.
Clyburn, the House assistant Democratic leader, said Giffords’ alleged assailant, Jared Lee Loughner, apparently was upset by her narrow re-election in November.
“It seems like this gentleman was not satisfied with the way the election came out,” Clyburn told reporters. “There’s no way you cannot make that connection (with Angle’s rhetoric) unless you want to be stupid.”

I'm sure you are... And I think that is part of the sickness that has created the current climate. I feel no more pity for you and your (wait for it--Nmysys' word coming:) ILK, than I feel for the shooter that just mowed down 6 people and wounded 14 others, and would have mowed down more, but he had to stop to RELOAD...(after firing 31 rounds).

make that "advance his agenda AGAINST hate", it's about time somebody brought it front and center. This nation needs to cut back on the rhetoric and get back to Americans helping Americans, not inciting each other to take sides.
