If you think your incessant whining is going to seriously change anything, it's going to be a looooong time...

It's really very simple frogger........if you don't like a post, say so.......or ignore it.....or ignore the poster....or be even handed and call out both sides on their more egregious posts......but punishing adults like children, sending their posts to the Ring (which is like giving the poster a time out) sets the wrong tone, IMHO.

I'm done with this....I think I made my position clear, It isn't about not wanting more civil discourse, I do, it's about not wanting censorship in the forums beyond the usual TOS violations. I think we all know the kinds of threads that belong in the Ring and what belongs in the Courthouse, but sometimes threads take a turn south and then they inevitably die. I'm sorry I even brought it up.......the ownership will do what they think is best and that is as it should be.......I will live with the new rules and see how it goes.

do you remember the quarantine? at least SC hasn't done that. Seems to me she has handled this a bit different. been reading Bob's forum. Civil discussion and an opportunity to learn somethin without all the mud slinging. what a breath of fresh air. hope it lasts

The only issue with ignoring the idiots is that their constant fusillade of abuse towards each other numbs us all to what normal, civil discourse is. We start believing that all liberals are commie freeloaders who want to tear up the Constitution- conservatives are scientifically ignorant, selfish plutocrats and moderates are wishy washy fence sitters who believe in nothing.

you put a couple of these folks on ignore and it would be impossible to follow any conversation here cause thats all there is anymore.
