Bergdahl - The Hypocrisy and Hate Must End

"not leave a man behind" was not the motto that includes deserters and traitors. Rather, it is the motto for those who fight beside you.

You can be so open-minded that your brain escapes the cage.

Per Duffleblog: Obama has traded the South Korean city of Seoul for the USS Pueblo spyship. (Kidding!)

Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.

the talking heads, listening to those soldiers who were THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED, listening to
what they perceived of this man...I can only come up with this...YES, he did,in fact, leave
his post without permission,BUT, here's what I think is the reason...JMO...I believe he experienced a moment of self-discovery and SHOULD have claimed status as "conscientious
objector", but instead he walked away from the conflict....it is documented that particular
unit had moral problems, leadership issues (lack of) and that this man was conflicted about his
"service".....I think his MORAL COMPASS dictated his actions (wrongly so)....I am NOT a military
expert, so I do NOT know the procedure for declaring "C.O." AFTER THE FACT....it will be
very interesting to see IF this theory is correct..... :SadLeave:

AGAIN, would "c.o." be what he SHOULD have declared? I believe, the LARGER QUESTION,
and one that is NOT being addressed by posters on this boards.....What do you do when you're
LEADERS are NOT leading and you are left to figure it out on your own (having NEVER been
in the "war theater" before)???

There was a extreme LACK of leadership at the HIGHEST LEVEL and these soldiers were left
adrift...guess it would remind me of "Lord of the Flies" on a very basic level....

Arlen, YOUR lack of response to the obvious is dis concerning....there was LITTLE/NO leader
ship within this unit and THAT compounded the problems that transpired...a FUBAR of the
finest proportion. JMO

VIETNAM was a nitemare and so is the M.E. war....BOTH are/were filled with blatant BAD
decisions and ego centered leadership......we NEVER learn, do we???

All of the other soldiers dealt with your so-called leadership issues. Only Bergdahl did not.

I posted a "Rolling Stones" article, written TWO YEARS AGO, that,in fact, documented that
issue and a HIGH ranking officer did lose his job, in part, because of the article...did you
NOT read my previous link/post?
