What Would End The Protests?

Reuters is announcing the St. Louis county prosecutor is preparing for a grand jury decision.

They need to listen to one ofthe people most affected by all this, the dead kid's Dad...

“My family and I are hurting. Our whole region is hurting,” Mr. Brown said. “I thank you for lifting your voices to end racial profiling and police intimidation, but hurting others or destroying property is not the answer.”

Starting to look like the Reuters tweet was either bogus or a test.

Well it's obvious at this point that the cop has to resign. Even if someone came forward with a video that showed Brown reaching in for the gun and struggling with the cop in his car, there is no way in hell he would ever be able to be seen anywhere in public (in Ferguson anyway). No matter what the grand jury concludes, his life is over in that town and his life would be in danger every day, even if he wasn't a cop anymore. The public jury has spoken, and he has been found guilty.

Some want justice while others want vengeance disguised as justice.

The REAL issue is the ONGOING profiling/racial divide/racism/ "white vs. black" experience in America.

The MOST appalling aspect of this incident (reserving judgement on the officer/victim) was this.....
the boys' earthly body was splayed out on the pavement for HOURS, WITHOUT a cover/privacy
shield.

Let me bring that into SHARPER focus....it was Mid-August in Missouri.
If this were YOUR CHILD, would that be acceptable to you? YOUR child's body in the middle of
a paved road (UNCOVERED, for all to see) for HOURS...blood pooling around the body and drying on
hot pavement....

Disagree. I think the MOST appalling aspect is the civil unrest that is being prepped NO MATTER what the grand jury returns with and the acceptance or perhaps resignation that it is just a thing.

Really? How many blacks are killed by whites, cops or otherwise compared to how many blacks are killed by blacks? And remember, blacks only make up about 15% of the total population. Do that simple math problem and you'll see the "real" issue.

Now tell me how you know this specific incident was a result of racism or profiling... show the evidence.

It seems apparent that the riots are going to continue no matter what the outcome. Assuming that happens how about deploying a couple of these units to Ferguson?



It won't stop the riots but it would help to contain or repel the marauding herds depending on how the incident commander chose to use them. This solution should appeal to all those who are adverse to the police countering violence with violence.
