Mayor Pete seems to be much more than the typical politician. A Renaissance man and not simply a empty head.

I wonder about how he would handle foreign policy issues. The locals appear to either love or hate him.... he does not seem to be particularly political though, which would be refreshing, but would he survive congress?

I think a mayor brings more job experience to the presidency than senators do. He has to hire people, work with budgets and other governmental bodies. Senators just vote. They might not even hire most of their staff.

Yes, you are correct Fred. Most of congress is out of touch with the public, minus what they hear at rallies. Just read an interesting article on a police wire tapping issue that happened before he became Mayor that is still bubbling along not totally resolved. May hurt his chances even if the incident preceded his term as Mayor.

I think his record of achievements (or lack of) as mayor should probably be factor as well. Most of the suits running are pretty empty but they do say all the right things to their sheeple. When someone continually proclaims their sexual orientation as some sort of qualifier, my eyes instantly begin to glaze over

AND might even work for him, IF he would revert back to his old immigration policy.....just wow.

CURRENT CANDIDATES......Seth Moulton has caught my eye.

A snowball's chance in hell I'm thinking. #1 he's a Marine (aka baby killer to many leftists) and he says the Democrat party needs to be the party of national defense.... not a very good talking point for the raging liberal base.

But if someone put a gun to my head and forced me to pick a Democrat, Seth would probably be my choice as well. As nutty as the rest of the field is, I think your choice against Trump will be one of two old white guys... a groper and a socialist. If enough of your uninformed younger base are fired up to vote, then Bernie will probably take it. If more rational people who understand the concept of math, then it will be Biden. The rest of the field is full of wannabes who can't possibly expect to win the primary but want to be VP or just get recognition for future runs.

bolded....ah BUT TRUMP didn't think HE would have a ''win'' and what a shocking surprise that was...(of course the caveat to the whole enchilada is foreign interference in 2020)….
