Dumbing down the masses? Do you honestly think the nation isn't as smart as it used to be? More people are going to college than ever before. More people are graduating high school and are literate than 100 years ago.

Yes, that is what I think. I wish it were not so but I have known too many high school grads that are functionally illiterate.

Alex, I will take a Yale degree for !.2 million dollars.

I actually agree with this. College degrees and high school diplomas don't mean as much as they used to. In colleges, they will give you gentlemen "C's" just to keep the money rolling in. I knew a pair of brothers, one was a sixth year senior, the other was a fourth year junior.

I guess I'm not too surprised about that - but man, I really did not enjoy school that much! I like to know things, I like to learn about things, but I never really enjoyed sitting in a class room getting that information. My son has a friend who is still in college (he's been out 9 years) but he is working on a masters degree. wouldn't be for me.

So you really believe Trump sees Biden as his biggest threat? Biden is everything the left wants to get rid of... Biden has the the support of RINOs and establishment Dems but all the energy is with the new crazy blood, including old man Sanders. I'm sure as we speak the DNC is working on rigging the primary for Joe because they know how nutty the rest of the field is and Joe can be controlled. At this point I don't think Trump is afraid of any of them.... unless the economy crashes which I only see happening next year if some crazy leftist catches fire with their free shit rhetoric.

Joe is real polished in his commercial (lots of takes I'm sure) but watch this and tell me he won't get destroyed by Trump in a debate. Joe needs to retire from public office and have fun till his mind is completely gone.

Too bad he's been such a train wreck.

I am highly skeptical of polls, especially this far out from the election, but considering that his approval rate has never been above 50%, this falls right in line.
Poll: 55 percent say they won't vote for Trump in 2020

So far I've yet to see the media improve at all in their coverage of the candidates. If I see one more article about the "electability" of Democrats I'm gonna scream. It's not a popularity contest FFS, and quit focusing on personal details like sexual orientation, hair cuts, outfits, musical talent, and "likeability." Research their previous votes, their actions, dig into their backgrounds, the organizations they've been involved with (cough* Yang *cough), who they take donations from, their tax returns, and ask them tough questions about the policies the endorse/support/create and write about that.
The Media Can’t Figure Out How to Cover Elizabeth Warren
Unlike every other candidate in the race—or in recent US history—Warren is providing a road map for where she wants to take the country.
By Eric AltermanTwitter

It’s a campaign not merely of ideas but of detailed policy proposals dealing with a host of ills that other politicians have ignored or tried to wish away.

In reality, her proposals address many of the phenomena undermining the nation’s republican values and commitment to equal opportunity. All appear to be based on consultations with progressive activists cognizant of the politics, as well as policy experts hip to the technical complexities. Without exception, her plans are bold, and in many cases they’re truly visionary.

How candidates want to run their campaigns is their business. But at the very least, it should be the press’s business to ask them to respond to Warren’s policies and proposals. Add that to the list of the media’s failures to ensure that this time, voters are able to make informed decisions about who and what they’re getting when they pull the lever to take back our country and restore our republic.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
