2020 Presidential Candidates

I didn't know he was still in it. Surprised so many people run, when they have to know their chances are so limited. Would get depressing going to town halls during an Iowa winter when only three people show up.

The DNC has now changed their criteria for being on the debate stage? NO LONGER does a candidate have to meet a threshold in number of donors. This was done to accommodate Mike Bloomberg. Isn't it telling that they wouldn't alter the criteria to get a person of color on the stage. Even Tom Steyer is upset about this change. He is annoyed that he had to buy his donors and now realizes that he didn't have to spend the money.
Gotta luv the principled DNC. Oh wait, that's the same DNC that rigged the primaries in 2016 against Sanders and in favor of Clinton.

Do you think the DNC will use super delegates to once again sink Senator Bernie Sanders?

I think that the DNC will do whatever it feels necessary to thwart Sanders. Dragging out the impeachment proceedings hurts Sanders and the other senators that are running. Keeping Sanders in D.C. rather than campaigning in Iowa helps primarily Biden. I can think of no other reason perhaps other than trying to taint the State of th Union Address. It is going to be delightful to see the dems in the House sit on their hands while President Trump speaks.

A small group of Democratic National Committee members has privately begun gauging support for a plan to potentially weaken Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign and head off a brokered convention.

In conversations on the sidelines of a DNC executive committee meeting and in telephone calls and texts in recent days, about a half-dozen members have discussed the possibility of a policy reversal to ensure that so-called superdelegates can vote on the first ballot at the party’s national convention. Such a move would increase the influence of DNC members, members of Congress and other top party officials, who now must wait until the second ballot to have their say if the convention is contested.

“I do believe we should re-open the rules. I hear it from others as well,” one DNC member said in a text message last week to William Owen, a DNC member from Tennessee who does not support re-opening the rules.

Owen, who declined to identify the member, said the member added in a text that “It would be hard though. We could force a meeting or on the floor.”

This is turning out to be an epic clusterf##k for Democrats who had so many people to pick from and it looks like the crusty old commie is going to crush their hopes unless the DNC finds a way to rig it against Bernie, again. Does anyone think the Bernie Bros are going to vote for someone like Biden or Bloomberg if their guy is ripped off a second time? I'm going to predict that there will be lots of violence and destruction if Bernie is shafted a second time.

Meanwhile Trump gets a massive crowd in New Jersey! LOL I think that "older wise woman" should be thanked by all Americans who don't want the last 3 years of progress crushed by morons who can't come up with any good ideas that would make American lives better.

President Trump has ordered instituted a suspension of entry visas for persons traveling to the USA from China. Biden says travel entry restrictions are “hysteria, xenophobia and fearmongering”, what's not to love about Joe Biden.

The DNC changed its debate qualifications so that Bloomberg could participate. (They dropped the requirement of having a certain amount of donors.)
Well, Bloomberg will not be on the stage for tonight's debate in New Hampshire.
The next debate is in Las Vegas on 19 Feb. Will he be a no show?
The bigger question is why they changed the rules only to be snubbed?

Mayor Pete's pseudo victory in Iowa is boosting him in the polls. Reminds me of other primaries, where it seemed like a new candidate would pop up after every primary. Not being a DC insider is certainly to appeal to a lot of Americans.

Seems like a PRUDENT practice, for a period of time.....until there is more info and more build up
for med. supplies, practices, personnel. The REAL question is....are we doing the build up in an
expeditious way?
