Speaking only for myself, I resented you trying to connect dots that weren't there. That's why I responded. It would be like me saying Rev. Fred Phelps is a Republican and therefore all Republicans believe what he believes.

Look, if you want to have a debate about Christmas carols in public schools, you need to clearly lay out your reasoning. Making a statement like the one above does nothing to prove your viewpoint. It's just like a slap and then run away.
How do you think that atheism is the root of the school / religion debate? What are the arguments for your position? Do you have backup that will proved your assertion that atheism is the root of the school/religion debate or are there other issues that might factor into the discussion.
Calling me slow or dense (however true it may be) will not help your argument at all.
serenity, what could you know of my family life. Are you insinuating that I am not a just person? beat my wife? am abusive?
What?
That is quite a leap, don't you think. Considering that you have absolutely nothing to base that statement upon?
I would suggest that you go back into this thread and take note of who introduced the subject of atheism. As if O'Hair's life consisted of nothing else but that one thing. Whenever I said that her life mirrored that of a liberal, I was in no way even thinking of that part of her life. But it was such a big part of the pathos of those who would bend my posts that they have totally focused on that aspect of her life. This tells more of the other posters than it does of me.

Then what were you intending to say? More than one person here has taken your quotes to mean that you think liberals are atheists.
