From Ashlee H at 4:09pm in 285 Traveler:
3:40 - 4:10 drive to Bailey
Canyon - clear
Conifer - drizzles and light flurries, roads damp but fine
Richmond hill - snowing, visibility decreasing, roads wet
Pine to Bailey - heavier snow, roads very wet. Drive fine now but will be concerning when it freezes over soon

From Anita L at 3:12pm:
310p 285 Conifer --> Pine Junction, roads are very wet and it is snowing BIG heavy flakes, visibility impacted... gonna be solid ice once it drops below freezing (currently 38*). Drive safe!!!

From Clif B 2hr ago in 285 Traveler
Good morning, 43 is still a bit icy at both ends of the valley light snow covering the rest. 285 has a dusting but there are a few spots that will cause the lower extremities to grab your undergarments, O'MALLEY corner for one, so be aware of that. The upper (south) part of 73 is still snowpacked and a bit slick the rest has a light coat of snow Happy Friday

Nate V 5:31pm in 285 Traveler Group:
Tuesday March 22 5:20 p.m. 285 heading South / West. Snow starts to pick up after Windy point. Heavy snow and snow covered roads after Aspen Park. Traffic at a crawl at Richmond Hill and starting to back up. Kings Valley exit and side streets very slick.

Matthew W 5:30pm
Snowing pretty hard on 285 now. A few 2WDs struggling around windy point. Not bad with awd and snow tires

Everyone be careful on Shadow Mountain, there are multiple cars stuck on the side of the road coming up and going down. The road is insanely icy.

Reports from the 285 Traveler Group this morning:
Clif B 5:09am
Good morning, Shelton is snowpacked, 43 is snowpacked at both ends of the valley 285 is just wet until kings valley then snowpacked and slushy 73 is snowpacked till little big horn then mostly just wet, the big issue is the fog visibility down to a couple hundred feet in spots on 285 it lifts at the bottom of Shaffers crossing Watch for wildlife this morning. Have a great day

Allison D 5:13am
Fog is super dense Aspen Park north through the Homestead at 5:00am. About one to two car lengths of visibility and that’s it. Lifts north of the Homestead. Roads just wet after that.

Andi R 6:01am
NTC was well sanded looked slick but I never slipped, 285 was wet

Amanda R 7:19am
Rollover on [Hwy 285] SB side before Pine Junction nobody on scene yet but traffic is moving. Still slick in spots

Erica R 7:26am
285 N leaving Conifer is dangerously slick in some areas. Black ice, not noticeable at all. Be careful out there everybody.

Maria D 7:37am
126 from Buffalo Creek to Hwy 285 is snowpacked

Krista R 7:33am
Black ice at windy point, slid going 45-50 with 4x4 and Blizzak tires… that ice came out of no where!
Drive safe and happy hump day!

Shannon B 7:33am
Don't let the roads or people fool you. 285 is slick. Looks ok, but right after the 1st hill after Myers Ranch going sb, it is slick. I spun out going 35 in 4wd, good tires in 2nd gear going downhill. Others flew by like it was bandimere, then quickly slowed down. Be safe!!

Kristen P 7:37am
It is icy! It looks like somebody went over the edge between come and go and Richmond Hill overpassed. Slow down. There are firemen out on the road. Sheriff on his way nb.
2 other cars on the side of the road.

Per cosmiccowboy55: there's a convoy of wide-load vehicles traveling on Hwy 285 SB toward Fairplay from Bailey. CSP is escorting multiple oversized vehicles, expect delays.
