US 285 northbound: Heavy traffic
Between Kokanee Rd (3 miles south of the Fairplay area) and MM 183 (near Red Hill Pass). Alternate routes advised.

Travelers be aware! 285 northbound approximately mile marker 247 just before the Morrison exit, across the left lane is a very large dead deer. Lane change or crossover to pass safely.

Just came up 285 from C-470, wet only up to Windy Point, snow is starting to stick on NB lanes though!
29° right now, so it may start getting slick very quickly.

OMG! Barkley Road is horrible! I know it always is, but this is extra special horrible. Avoid it!

Avoid c470 starting at the 285 exit traffic is complete standstill with atleast 7 fire trucks and cops weaving through traffic already

Travelers report that Hwy 285 is extremely slick at Windy Point where a few cars have gotten stuck/struggled uphill heading southbound.

285 NB on the Roland Valley curve is a sheet of ice. Be careful.

Other travelers have reported that plows have been out and sanding, and have also hit CR 43 in Bailey.

Travelers report that the traffic light is out at Pine Junction. Please treat it as a 4-way stop.
